It finally happened to you...A car Insurance accident! Don't panic, although it may be easier said than done. Follow these tips on what to do after the accident has happened
- 1. Stay safe. Assess the situation for your immediate safety.
- 2.Stay in your car if there is a risk of injury or if moving might put you at risk of further injury.
- 3. Move to a safe location if your car is creating a safety hazard or obstructing traffic.
- 4. Do not leave the scene of the accident!
- 5. Determine if there are any injuries.
- 6. Call 911 immediately to report the accident and get help to the scene, if needed.
- 7. Follow any instructions the police give you.
- 8. Call your Auto Insurance company. Follow any instructions given to you by your Agent.
- 9. Request a tow through your Auto Insurance company, if possible.
- 10.Note the name of the tow company and location to which your vehicle is towed.
