Nowadays, one of the questions I get asked all the time is Why is my Insurance So High? There is normally a couple of different answers for that question because it depends on the individuals Driver's license status, whether there is any Insurance points or accidents, how long have they've had their License and the type of vehicle and coverage requested. As of writing this article the Insurance Rates have been increasing over the past couple of months due to inflation and the economy. With that being said, here are a couple of ways the average person can save on their Auto Insurance rates. First thing to do is drive safe and follow the speed limits as much as you can, a clean driving record with zero accidents or zero violations is one of the best ways to get the lowest rates available. If you currently have Auto Insurance and are thinking of switching to a different company to avoid high rates always try and switch at your policy renewal date, in most cases a person switching their auto policy in the middle of their term will incur unnecessary fee's, so having Prior Insurance helps you save on your Auto Insurance rates. Many companies offer a discount if you own your own home or Condo, ask your agent if this is possible. Lastly, the type of coverage you request on your vehicle also affects the price, if you opt to have Comprehensive and Collision coverages on your vehicle(s) just remember the deductibles you choose can lower your rate or raise your rate, always talk to your agent about the available options you have for the Deductibles.
